The chair’s design explores the natural properties of materials to aid its use. The flexibility of mild steel tube allows for supported movement, while post-consumer recycled HDPE slabs demonstrate hygienic surfaces with unparalleled longevity and durability. Summerday’s frame is hand-rolled locally, whereas the seat and the back have been manufactured from somewhat randomly coloured shredded plastic with non-consistent swirls – so no piece is identical to another, and that’s the beauty of it all.
